Book News:
Broken Bones is now in bookstores. 
It’s the second of my archaeology adventure series. Please see my book page for details. Next out will be When Children Play, arriving in bookstores early in 2012. It’s all about the charity Right to Play and the role play and sports has in improving the lives of the world’s most disadvantaged children. Presentation News:
I'll be at the Surrey Reads & Writes Fair at the new main branch on Saturday, February 25 from 11 to 3. Please come to my presentation and say hello.
I’m really excited about being invited to tour Manitoba as part of the 2012 TD Children’s Author Book Tour, from May 5 to 12.
Works in Progress:
In progress is Conspicuous Courage in the Face of Danger: Canada’s Victoria Cross Heroes. The title says it all -- the heroic stories of servicemen who fought in Canada’s wars.
Besides the BC Book Prize and the Governor General's Literary Award, Free as a Bird was a finalist for the Canadian Library Association Award for Young Adults; The Saskatchewan Young Readers Choice Award -- The Snow Willow Award; was recently selected by VOYA Magazine for the Top Shelf Fiction for Middle Readers 2010 list and is included in the International Board for Books for Youth (IBBY) international book tour. In July it was included in CCBC's Best Books for Kids and Teens.
